Our Charity Efforts Continue …
The staff at Pinto Potts continues in 2012 in our long established tradition of raising money for various good causes and local charities. We’ve been working hard this year, and have so far made contributions towards the good work of:
CLAPA: The Cleft Lip & Palate Association CLAPA was set up in 1979 as a partnership between parents and health professionals. It provides support for new parents, and for people with the condition and their families, from infancy through to adulthood.
Shine Shine is Cancer Research UK’s night time walking marathon. Since 2010 roughly 25,000 people have taken part in Shine to raise £6 million towards beating all 200 types of cancer.
Regan’s Reason Reagan, a little girl from Farnborough, Hampshire is battling a life threatening blood disorder known as DBA – Diamond Blackfan Anaemia. Her bone marrow cannot make red blood cells needed to carry oxygen around the body in order to survive. DBA is very rare and only affects around 125 people in the UK. In order for Reagan to survive she is subjected to painful blood transfusions every 4 weeks. Transfusions cause iron overload and soon her body will need a further method of treatment to remove the excess iron or her heart and lungs will stop working. For a chance of a treatment fee life she will need to have a bone marrow transplant from a sibling only. Some patients are not lucky enough to have a sibling match though. The DBA Charity is currently raising funds for genetic testing, helping them understand the genetics of this condition better to aid survival rates.
Blind Veterans UK Formerly St Dunstan’s. We believe that no one who’s served our country should battle blindness alone. That’s why we’re here to help with a lifetime’s practical and emotional support,

Pinto Potts Charity Goals: to raise as much money as possible, through office sponsored events, for local charities and causes close to our hearts. We ask members of staff to nominate charitable causes and then hold events to support approximately six charities each year.
