RACE DAY- Sunday July 8, 2012

Some of you may not know that at 8:45 on the 8th of July in London, as we were meeting at the bag drop area, it was dark, overcast and drizzling/raining.  However that didn’t deter the Pinto Potts Runners, or the 24,992 other runners.  This was a HUGE event, on the scale of the London Marathon.  Over 700 charities were represented.

Every one of our PP runners started well…. Every one got completely soaked along the way… Every one finished…. And every one had a big smile on his/her face.

So who ran the fastest you ask?  Even though he comes last in alphabetical order, our own Steven Violet finished first amongst us.  Well done Steven!  And the other 7 all finished within 7 minutes of Steven.  So well done all!!

We’ve so far managed to raise over £1200 for Disability Initiative and the good work they do in Camberley, Surrey.  Pinto Potts would like to thank everyone who sponsored our runners.  Your contributions will be put to very good use, improving the lives of individuals who have suffered catastrophic injuries.

Please know that you can still make a contribution, if you haven’t had the chance as of yet.  Please email info@pintopotts.co.uk for details.  Just like Tesco….every little helps!

Next, a big thank you to the runners:

  • Kate Currie
  • Sarah Denny
  • Roberto Federici
  • Kelly McDade
  • Greig Richards
  • Imran Saddique
  • Tamlyn Tyson
  • Steven Violet

Thanks also to our soggy supporters on the day, friends and family, including our own David Pinto.

Enjoy the pictures below.  And thanks again for your support…  runners, supporters and sponsors!
