Travelling on a bus, coach or other public transport is generally one of the safest ways to get around.

However, a bus or coach, just like any other vehicle on the road is exposed to the dangers of the highway and accidents do happen, every day buses are involved in collisions and accidents that result in the passengers on board being hurt.

Sources within the transport sector have revealed that the number of bus passengers injured through no fault of their own during a journey is on the increase. Many accidents occur as a result of hard braking and rapid acceleration, standing bus passengers are particularly vulnerable as they can easily lose balance and suffer serious injury when they fall.
