Section 1 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 prohibits four types of dog:

  1. The Pit Bull Terrier
  2. The Japanese tosa
  3. The Dogo Argentino
  4. The Fila Brasileiro

It is an offence to own or keep any of these types of dog. In addition it is an offence to breed from, sell or exchange (even as a gift) such a dog.

It has been revealed that the number of claims made for injuries sustained whilst working with horses has rocketed in the past five years.

Common injuries have been bites and more often kicks from horses while they have been treated by vets or visited by stable hands.

The danger is very real as a kick from a horse can cause very nasty injuries or even death.
