Cyclists are fighting back against road accidents, abusive drivers and road rage incidents by wearing video cameras on their helmets.
When a road rage incident or an accident occurs cyclists have said that it is often very difficult to prove who was at fault, especially as many incidents come down to one persons word against another.
Having the footage of exactly what happened captured on video provides conclusive proof of who was to blame, which can be priceless when it comes to making a claim following an accident or bringing a prosecution for road rage or careless driving.
BBC News have put together a special report about the growing number of cyclists wearing helmet cameras, please note: the video below contains footage of a road accident involving a cyclist.
Any cyclist who is injured in an accident can normally make a claim against the responsible party, if video evidence is available the process of making a claim is generally made easier, however even without video it is still possible to bring a compensation claim.
Pinto Potts are specialist Solicitors who have handled many claims for cyclists who have been involved in accidents on the road, for free information and legal advice about making a claim for personal injury compensation following an accident call 0800 316 4434.
